Lightup Cane[:nl]Lichtgevende Blindenstok

The “Blind Cane” is the main tool for the VIP to make their presence clear and communicate their bearing and course to other traffic participants. The original cane was introduced nearly a hundred years ago and has proven it’s value.

Now with new Technology available, we want to increase it’s utility.
  1. Enhance mobility and Increase visibility
  2. Enhance functionality for VIP
  3. Enhance communication to smart vehicles, traffic lights, bicyclists and other pedestrians
Debby’s goal is that 30% of visually impaired people use the Marchena Cane before 2025 and that by 2030 the algorithms in self-driving cars and Smart Cities will recognize and respond to the networked Light up Cane.
This will have a huge positive impact of VIP safety, mobility and quality of life.

De “blindenstok” is de belangrijkste instrument voor de VIP’s (Visually ImPaired and Blind) om hun aanwezigheid duidelijk te maken en hun koers en koers over te dragen aan andere verkeersdeelnemers. De originele stok werd bijna honderd jaar geleden geïntroduceerd en heeft zijn waarde bewezen.

Nu er nieuwe technologie beschikbaar is, willen we het nut ervan vergroten.
  1. Verbeter de mobiliteit en verhoog de zichtbaarheid
  2. Verbeter de functionaliteit voor VIP
  3. Verbetering van de communicatie met slimme voertuigen, verkeerslichten, fietsers en andere voetgangers
Debby’s doelstelling is dat 30% van mensen met een visuele beperking de Marchena Cane gebruiken voor 2025 en dat in 2030 de algoritmes in zelfrijdende auto’s en Smart Cities haar ge-netwerkte stok herkennen en hierop reageren.
Dit zal dit een enorme positieve impact hebben van VIP-veiligheid, mobiliteit en kwaliteit van leven.
